Roy Belser joined the firm in 1979 and became a partner in 1984. He has over 44 years of experience in forest management, timber marketing, timberland transactions, landowner relations, and land brokerage.

Roy led the effort to provide forest management services to timberland investment management organizations, non-industrial private forestland owners, trusts, and forest products companies, serving as Chairman until his retirement. As Chairman, he assisted with the execution of business strategy, sales, marketing, and client relations while still maintaining a close relationship with many of his daily clients. Since retirement in 2020, his focus has been on providing land brokerage services.

He is a Registered Forester and Licensed Real Estate Broker in South Carolina. He was a former board member of the South Carolina Audubon Society, the Association of Consulting Foresters—SC Chapter, and the Forestry Association of South Carolina.
